Adele Performs ‘Hold On’ in ‘One Night Only’ Concert Special Preview: Watch

The two-hour prime time event, filmed at the legendary Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, premieres on Sunday (Nov. 14) at 8:30 p.m. ET on CBS.

The special will feature the singer performing beloved hits and never-before-heard new songs. There will also be an interview with Oprah Winfrey, in which Adele will discuss her new album and stories behind her songs. She’ll also talk about her divorce, raising her son and her recent weight loss.

30, Adele’s fourth album and her first since 2015’s 25, is set for a Nov. 19 release.

Swift’s short premiered Friday night (Nov. 12), on the release day of her re-recorded Red album.

At a New York City screening of the film, where packets of All Too Well-branded tissues were handed out to attendees, Swift encouraged fans to “feel your feelings” as they watched. “You do not need to be stoic, serious, or anything that you are not if that is not how you want to feel during this. Be yourselves.”

In an appearance on The Tonight Show this week, Swift hinted to Jimmy Fallon that she’ll be performing the full, 10-minute version of the song while serving as musical guest on SNL Saturday night.

On Nov. 23, Netflix premieres Jonas Brothers Family Roast, which is pitched by the streaming giant as a “one of a kind comedy special” and one where the boys get a “roasting they’ll never forget.”

Davidson is happy to help with that. The stand-up specialist is apparently a JoBros “superfan,” so he knows all their pressure points. He finds some of them in a trailer, now streaming on YouTube.

“I’m a huge fan,” he admits. “I listen to the Jonas Brothers every time I’m in a supermarket.”

The JoBros can laugh. Their Remember This tour, one of the first true post-pandemic treks, has earned $300 million, and counting.

Sheeran had shared his diagnosis just days before the release of his latest album, =, and earlier this week clarified that he out of quarantine and “excited to hit the ground running with work again, and SNL is still on.”

“It’s quite an odd thing getting that and then having to announce it to the world, and then suddenly like, I’m now out of it, and I’m still sort of being treated [like he has COVID]. It’s kind of an uncomfortable,” Sheeran admitted to Stern.

The Howard Stern Show radio host asked Sheeran, “Did you have heavy symptoms at all? I assume you were vaccinated,” to which the singer replied, “I was, yeah, but I was super ill and rundown before.”

“As soon as I got a cold, I just started testing every single day. I was just like, I want to make sure I don’t have it,” said Sheeran.

Sheeran talked about the busy schedule he had, waking up early to do promotion for his new album, and said, “I was really, really, really rundown and then just one day I caught it [COVID-19].”

“My wife was away, so, I was there with my daughter. Basically, it was me and my daughter for a week. She had it, too, so it was kind of heavy. Three days of really, really bad symptoms, I think,” Sheeran recalled.

The stadium camera then panned to the fan’s mom, as she wiped tears away from her eyes, cheered, and blew kisses to her daughter down in the pit. Styles applauded before pointing something out to the fan and her mom. “Now, I don’t want to ruin the moment,” he said, smirking. “But wouldn’t it be nice if you were a little bit closer together? You’ll see her later, congratulations and thank you!”

The fan ended up posting a video of the moment from her perspective, while captioning it with a thank-you message for Styles. “A moment that will actually be with me forever,” she wrote. “Thank you for creating a safe place for me. Thank you for letting me grow alongside you as a fan. Thank you for helping me know who I am. Thank you.”

Styles, who’s managed by Jeffrey Azoff and represented by CAA, kicked off his North American tour in support of his chart-topping album Fine Line in September, after the trek was postponed twice in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Lasting throughout the rest of the month, the Love On Tour will officially come to an end Nov. 28, where Styles will be the first performer at Belmont Park, New York’s brand-new UBS Arena.

Grande will portray Elphaba — the role originated by Idina Menzel on Broadway — while Erivo will portray Glinda the Good Witch, made famous by Kristen Chenoweth.

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo revealed Thursday night (Nov. 4) that they’re starring in a movie adaptation of the hit Broadway musical Wicked.

The two stars shared Instagram pictures from a tearful video call where they learned they’d be starring as the witched from the Land of Oz. Grande will portray Elphaba the Wicked Witch of the West — the role originated by Idina Menzel on Broadway in 2003 — while Erivo will portray Glinda the Good Witch, made famous by Kristen Chenoweth in the original production.

“Thank goodness,” Grande captioned her series of photos, tagging director Jon Chu — who will helm the adaptation for Universal — as well as Erivo and the @wickedmovie Instagram page. Grande’s photos include a picture of a bouquet of flowers with a card reading, “‘Pink Goes Good With Green’ Congratulations Miss A, The Part Was Made For You, I Look Forward To Sharing This Musical Journey With You. Love, Cynthia.”

As many of her Instagram posts have over the past few months, the caption contained a reference to the conservatorship that has controlled her personal life and finances for the past 13 years. Some of Spears’ comments on social media have been cryptic, but this caption specifically mentions her “ma and dad” not letting her drive while she’s been under the conservatorship and asks, “can I play now ????”

“On a SPECIAL note Stay classy ‘Murica and don’t do anything I wouldn’t do because that’s like a WHOLE LOT y’all !!!!” she wrote with a string of winky faces. “Let me explain myself … I’m saying in a crazy world like we have today that it’s pretty important to stay safe !!! Like we did for Covid y’all !!!! But still have fun … I mean duh !!! It’s been 13 years for me so I’m a little rusty !!!! Ma and dad can I drive my car now ??? JUST KIDDING … but seriously, can I play now ???? I just really don’t want to offend anyone though.”

Spears’ conservatorship has come into question over the past year-plus thanks to the efforts of the #FreeBritney movement and the FX and Hulu documentary Framing Britney Spears that came out in February. Since a spotlight has been put on the arrangement, Spears’ father, Jamie, has been removed as the conservator of her estate, and her newly appointed lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, has filed a petition to end the conservatorship entirely.
